The ABCC1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3027) is a versatile tool for researchers studying the ABCC1 protein, a member of the ATP-binding cassette transporter family. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.ABCC1, also known as multidrug resistance protein 1 (MDR1), is involved in drug resistance and transport across cell membranes. It is particularly important in cancer research, as overexpression of ABCC1 is associated with resistance to chemotherapy drugs.
The ABCC1 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to the ABCC1 protein, allowing for the detection and analysis of this transporter in a variety of cell types.Understanding the function of ABCC1 is crucial for developing strategies to overcome drug resistance in cancer treatment. By studying the activity of ABCC1, researchers can identify new therapeutic targets and improve the effectiveness of existing cancer treatments. The ABCC1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for investigating the role of ABCC1 in drug resistance and cancer progression.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra-and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This full transporter is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein functions as a multispecific organic anion transporter, with oxidized glutatione, cysteinyl leukotrienes, and activated aflatoxin B1 as substrates. This protein also transports glucuronides and sulfate conjugates of steroid hormones and bile salts. Alternatively spliced variants of this gene have been described but their full-length nature is unknown.
