The ABCC1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11153) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1 (ABCC1) protein. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the ABCC1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of ABCC1 in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in drug resistance, cancer research, and pharmacology.ABCC1 is a vital transporter protein involved in the efflux of various endogenous and xenobiotic compounds, including chemotherapy drugs.
Its overexpression has been linked to multidrug resistance in cancer cells, making it a key player in the development of treatment resistance. By understanding the mechanisms of ABCC1 function and regulation, researchers can develop strategies to overcome drug resistance and enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in cancer treatment.Overall, the ABCC1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11153) provides researchers with a valuable tool to explore the role of ABCC1 in drug resistance, cancer biology, and pharmacology, ultimately paving the way for the development of more effective cancer therapies.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra-and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This full transporter is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein functions as a multispecific organic anion transporter, with oxidized glutatione, cysteinyl leukotrienes, and activated aflatoxin B1 as substrates. This protein also transports glucuronides and sulfate conjugates of steroid hormones and bile salts. Alternatively spliced variants of this gene have been described but their full-length nature is unknown.
