Description
AAK1 Antibody (PACO23021)
The AAK1 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC023021) is a valuable tool for researchers studying AAK1, a key protein involved in various cellular processes including endocytosis, cell signaling, and cell cycle progression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the AAK1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in diverse cell types.AAK1, also known as AP2 associated kinase 1, is a critical regulator of clathrin-mediated endocytosis and plays a crucial role in the internalization of a wide range of cell surface receptors and proteins.
Dysregulation of AAK1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and infectious diseases. Therefore, studying the functions and pathways involving AAK1 is essential for gaining insights into disease mechanisms and identifying potential therapeutic targets. The AAK1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in exploring the roles of AAK1 in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its versatility and specificity make it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology, signal transduction, and drug discovery efforts targeting AAK1-related pathways.

Background: | Adaptor-related protein complex 2 (AP-2 complexes) functions during receptor-mediated endocytosis to trigger clathrin assembly, interact with membrane-bound receptors, and recruit encodytic accessory factors. This gene encodes a member of the SNF1 subfamily of Ser/Thr protein kinases. The protein interacts with and phosphorylates a subunit of the AP-2 complex, which promotes binding of AP-2 to sorting signals found in membrane-bound receptors and subsequent receptor endocytosis. Its kinase activity is stimulated by clathrin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined. |
